Candles

1. How do I ensure a clean and even burn?
Trim the wick to about ¼ inch before each burn and allow the melt pool to reach the edges of the container to prevent tunneling.

2. What is the typical burn time for a Trimmed & Burning Candle Co. candle?
Burn time varies by size. Generally, an 8 oz candle can burn for 40–50 hours if cared for properly, while larger sizes may last even longer.

3. Why does the wick sometimes produce black smoke or “soot”?
Black smoke can occur if the wick is too long, causing an uneven burn. Always trim the wick before each use, and ensure the candle is in a draft-free area.

4. Are your candles made with eco-friendly materials?
Yes. We prioritize sustainable, clean-burning waxes, and high-quality, phthalate-free fragrance oils to ensure a healthier home environment.

Car Freshies

1. How do car freshies work?
Car freshies slowly release fragrance into your vehicle’s interior over time. Simply hang one from your rearview mirror or place it in another secure spot.

2. How long do the fragrances last?
Scent longevity varies, but most of our car freshies maintain their fragrance for 2–4 weeks, depending on the heat and airflow in your car.

3. Can I reuse or refresh my car freshie?
Car freshies are typically one-time use. However, storing them in a sealed bag when not in use can prolong their life.

Room Spray

1. Can I use the room spray on fabrics?
Our room sprays are generally safe for most fabrics. We recommend testing on a small, inconspicuous area first to ensure no discoloration or staining occurs.

2. How many sprays should I use at once?
A couple of sprays are usually enough to freshen a standard-sized room. Adjust the amount based on room size and your preferred fragrance strength.

3. Are the room sprays safe for pets and children?
Our formulas use non-toxic ingredients, but it’s best to keep pets and children away while spraying. Allow the mist to settle before letting them back into the area.

Wax Melts

1. How do I use your wax melts?
Place one or two wax melts in the dish of a wax warmer. Turn the warmer on and enjoy the fragrance as the wax melts.

2. How long will a wax melt’s scent last?
Each cube can last anywhere from 6–10 hours of continuous warming, depending on the warmer’s heat level and the fragrance used.

3. How do I remove old wax from my warmer?
Turn off the warmer and allow the wax to cool slightly. You can either use cotton balls to soak up the wax or carefully pop out the cooled wax disc once it solidifies.

Diffusers

1. How do reed diffusers work?
Reed diffusers use porous reeds to draw up the fragrance oil, releasing a continuous scent without the need for heat or electricity.

2. How often should I flip the reeds?
Flip the reeds every 1–2 weeks or whenever you notice the scent fading. This helps the oils disperse more evenly.

3. How long will a diffuser last?
Most diffusers last between 2–3 months, depending on the oil formula, temperature, and humidity of the environment.

All Purpose Cleaner

1. Is your all purpose cleaner safe to use around pets and children?
Yes. Our formula is designed with non-toxic, biodegradable ingredients. Still, it’s best to keep pets and kids away from freshly cleaned surfaces until they’re dry.

2. Can I use it on all surfaces?
Our all-purpose cleaner is safe for most sealed surfaces, such as countertops, appliances, and bathroom fixtures. However, avoid using it on — or be sure to patch-test sensitive or porous surfaces, including:

Unsealed or unfinished wood
Unsealed marble, granite, or other natural stone
Unglazed tile
Delicate painted surfaces

Always test on a small, inconspicuous area before applying to the entire surface.

3. How do I use the all purpose cleaner effectively?
Simply spray directly onto the surface, let it sit for a few seconds, and then wipe clean with a soft cloth or sponge.

4. Does it disinfect as well as clean?
Our cleaner focuses on removing dirt and grime using safe, eco-friendly ingredients. For high-touch areas requiring thorough disinfection, you may wish to follow up with a sanitizer approved for that purpose.
